Damn Right I'm Right!

Remember a time when you read something or saw something on TV and it really made you look at things in a different light?  Unless it was for the worse, I'm guessing not.  Overall I feel like society is moving rapidly towards a state of mind where we are sure of everything and cannot be swayed by any means unless it happens in your own lap.  You can see this in the mindset in every political, religious, cultural, national, and racial group around.  Can you imagine what it would take to change the mind of Ted Nugent about gun control or Bernie Sanders about socialism?  Try telling someone who's a stout atheist that they should just give church a try or a devout Catholic that Sundays are better served napping and watching TV.

Have we always been like this, or is this information age turning us all into stubborn hard heads that can't step outside our own boxes to see the rest of the world?  If we've all made our minds up on everything, then what is the purpose of broadcasting it on TV or posting about it on Facebook?  Am I just a lost moderate who is looking both ways and trying to make sense of people?

To be continued...
